Applying a heat press transfer takes less than a minute, but to achieve a professional result, it is important to follow all the steps carefully. Here is a comprehensive guide to ensure your transfer is applied perfectly.
Step 1: Preparation
Before you start, make sure you have all the necessary materials at hand: the heat press, your garment, the transfer, a teflon cloth or baking paper. Make sure your garment is clean and free of dust, so that no particles get under the transfer. If you are printing on already made clothing, a teflon press cushion or towel is also useful.
Step 2: Setting Up the Heat Press
Set your heat press to 145 degrees Celsius and 12 seconds. Allow the heat press to heat up to the desired temperature. This may take a few minutes depending on your device.

Step 3: Placement of the Transfer
Once the heat press is warm, place your garment on the bottom plate of the press. Pre-press the garment if necessary to ensure it is completely smooth. Place the transfer on the desired location on the garment. Use a ruler or tape measure to ensure the transfer is straight and centered, especially for larger designs. The press should be flush against the transfer, if you press on seams your transfer may not stick. Elevate the area where the transfer will be with a Teflon press pad or towel.

Step 4: Protecting the Transfer

Step 5: Applying the Transfer
Close the press and wait 12 seconds. After 12 seconds open the press.

Step 6: Removing the Foil
Remove the foil while it is still warm.

Step 7: Pressing for Perfect Bonding
Place your teflon cloth or baking paper back over the transfer and press it again for about 8 seconds. This helps the transfer adhere extra well and ensures a long lasting, durable result.

Step 8: Review and Finalization
Check the final result. If you see that some edges are not completely stuck, you can repeat the process with a shorter press time. Your transfer is now stuck and ready to use. Let the garment cool down before wearing or washing it.

Tips and Tricks:
Test Transfer: Before applying a transfer to a valuable garment, we recommend practicing on an old or less important piece of fabric. We include a test transfer with every order, so use this to familiarize yourself with the process and avoid mistakes.
Washing instructions: Our transfers are durable and can be washed at a maximum of 60 degrees Celsius. The great advantage of these transfers is that they remain beautiful after every wash, so that your garment looks like new time and time again.
By following these steps carefully, you can achieve professional results with your heat press every time. Good luck with your creative projects!
